The picturesque Rio Bianco in Valle Aurina is situated at an altitude of 1,334 m in a secluded side valley of Valle Aurina, branching off from Luttach. Rio Bianco is an eldorado for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, who can discover beautiful paths and impressive views away from mass tourism here.
A special highlight are the health trails, consisting of a Kneipp trail, a herb trail and a contemplation trail, which provide physical and mental balance at several stations.
In winter, a 10 km long cross-country ski trail and two toboggan runs lure visitors through snowy nature. The village also has a "Family Ski Lift" and two larger ski areas are located about 10-15 km away. The stop for the ski and regular bus is in the immediate vicinity of Gasteigerhof (approx. 150 m).
